Kids Club Holiday Break

Hi, families! We invite you to worship together as a family this Advent season (November 29 – December 25) while Kids Club (grades 1st through 5th) is on a holiday break. (Childcare will continue to be provided for ages 3-5.) Children are welcome to join you in the sanctuary or feel free to watch in the social hall if you’d like some more space to move. Happy Advent!

Kids’ Club (1st – 5th grade)

In Kids’ Club every child is valued for who God has made them to be and given opportunities to learn and excel as they grow in their love for Jesus. Through a variety of games, crafts, Biblical lessons, and Christ-focused activities, the students get to have fun and learn in a loving and encouraging environment. Each month, there is an emphasis on a “core value” such as Faith, Knowledge, or Persistence. Classes are lovingly led by Kids’ Club Ministry Leaders along with qualified volunteers (all of whom have passed thorough background checks).

Platt Park Church uses a curriculum called the “Orange” curriculum in our Children’s Ministry classrooms.

The Orange Curriculum is shared strategy for churches and families to influence the hearts of their children together. We blend the yellow light of Christ through the Church and the red love of families to make a bolder, stronger, and greater impact than either one of the influences alone.

We teach a bottom line for the month that comes from one of the three basic truths kids use as the foundation of their faith:

  • God made me.
  • God loves me.
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
